Active Group’s Try a Trade program is designed for school students who are curious about careers in agriculture, manufacturing, engineering and trades and want to see what it’s really like to work to get hands-on the tools of our trade.
Based at our manufacturing site in Cowra, NSW, the program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world work experience during school holidays, working alongside experienced tradespeople, engineers and production teams.
What students can expect
Participants in the Try a Trade program will:
Gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing and production environments
Experience a range of trade and technical pathways, including fabrication, assembly and workshop processes
Develop practical skills, workplace awareness and confidence
It’s a chance to get hands-on experience in a safe and supportive environment and earn school holiday money.
